What Are the Dangers of Excessive Flotation Agents?

       

Experiments show that the flotation index is down, many of which are caused by excessive flotation reagents. The harm of flotation reagent overdose is mainly in the following aspects:

Hazards of excessive collector

Flotation reagent process selectivity will be low.

Excessive collectors will cause difficulties in further concentrating of foam concentrate and separation of mixed concentrate.

Excessive collectors may reduce the floatability of some minerals.

Too many collectors will also forms a lot of foam to make the concentrate and tailings not easy to be dehydrated.

Hazards of inhibitor excess

When the depressant is excessive, the floating minerals and the inhibited minerals may be controlled at the same time, resulting in a decrease in the recovery rate.

Hazards of excessive activator

It not only destroys the selectivity of flotation process, but also may react with collector to produce precipitation and consume a large amount of collector.

Hazards of froth overdose

It causes a lot of sticky and thin bubbles, which easily causes the vein ore to adhere to the bubble and affect the taste of the concentrate.
